Ray Leonard attended the Sunset School of Preaching in 1974. After preaching in Springlake, TX for 2 1/2 years, they decided to take the Gospel to the "Coloured" people of South Africa. The Leonard family arrived in Cape Town in June, 1977. Today there are many congregations in and around Cape Town that are a direct or indirect offshoot of their work. Beginning in 1978 they worked almost exclusively with the church in Atlantis. The Leonards have three grown children and 10 grandchildren living in the states.
